October 9, 2008

My parents came to see me, and my sisiter in Tokyo yesterday.
They were from West Japan.

At the time when they arrived at Tokyo station, i was in my studio to practice for acting.
we were given 2 papers from my acting teacher.
she asked us to write a letter to our important person.
one is for a letter to an important person and the other is "from" the important person to me.

I wrote to my mother.
Just wrote it without thinking.
I also wrote down a letter "from" my mother.

after writing a letter, the teacher said to us,
"if there's anybody who would like to read the letter in fornt of everyone, please read it"

3 people raised their hands.

I remembered the word by Tom Hanks, "Acrting is to expose one's private things"

i did.

when i was reading my letter, my body was completely in tense.
my back muscles around protected my spinal column from hurting something.

it was far from RELAX and far from the condition of Zazen.
but there was a certain reality in the letter.

I squeezed my body and made my voice with tears and snivel.

when i finished reading the letter, i perceived full of sympathy with tears in the room.

the origin of acting, the origin of being.
