July 2008 Archive

July 31, 2008

My friend told me about this article.
While staying in Europe, i was asked many things about Japanese buddhism.
It's important to look carefully at what happening as a matter of fact...

This is the invitation which I got from Rad and Asia.
I felt that i found the reason why they have such a warm and graceful smile.

and the life of the candle will not be shortened.
Happiness never decreases by being shared.

Finally, i came back to "the busy world"!

Soon after the Sessin, i had a chance to come to Poznan by "EN", the relation.
i really wanted to come here, because my friend from Poland is from this town.
Two couples attending Sessin were from Poznan and i was lucky enough to go with them.

on the way, we passed by a horse carriage(it's not for sight seeing!).

there was Mokugyo in the Buddhis Center in Poznan!

can't stop surprising in this Sessin trip...

-Wroclaw, Poland

I stayed a night in Bunyu san's house before going to Sessin.
It's lucky that he's a computer engineer and i can use internet at his place.
But from now we'll go to Dojo and keep on sitting Zazen all the time...
see you after the Sessin.
Good luck!

-Warsaw, Poland

The smell of the Poland reminds me of the old days i spent in Warsaw 15 years ago.
Time flys and now im sitting in my friend's apartment in the same city.
I went to a Pub with Piotor, Gracjana, Roman and Ryszarol last night...
The Rhythm of Polish language made me feel special.

The Train will bring me to Wroclaw, where the Sessin takes place.
and once i leave Warsaw, it must be hard to use internet....

I'm now staying at Rad and Asia's place in the city. Since they're interested in Yoga and Tibetan Buddhism,I'm learning about it from them.

We woke up together in the early morning, prayed for the Tibetan altar and acted some postures of Yoga.
after all those things, we drink a "linen juice" which is so warm and gentle, and had a breakfast of porridge with berry's and yogurt. I had a feeling that they're really taking Buddhism mind into their daily lifestyle.

We did cycling around the forest and meeting some people til evening, and went to the Buddhist center near the Cinema and sit Zazen in Japanese Style. Although it's Monday,5 young men and 2 young women gathered.

We chanted "Daichi Zenji Hotsugan Mon", "Hanya Singyo", and "Daihishin Darani" togehter. I was so happy that i could take part in the Japanese style Buddhism Session, and I made a huge mistake there...

We're planning to sit 2 periods of Zazen, and I misunderstood that I had to ring the bell for the signal
and for a crying shame!, I sat in the position where all the drums placed. And made the matter worse, I was so sleepy that I forgot to ring "the end of the Zazen bell"! When I noticed and watched the clock, it's been more than 15 mins passed since the time we should stop sitting!

However, Buddhist in Poznan were so gentle enough to say nothing about it and we started walking "Kinhin" solemnly.....

Przepraszam and dziękuję bardzo!

As stated in "What is KNOM", this website is a virtual temple run by Japanese monks.
Since English is NOT our native tongue, we are always working hard to find the best way to express ourselves.

This process of learning language is one of the most anxious, but the pleasant time for us.

I had a chance to listen to a story spoken by a non-Japanese person who speaks japanese the other day.

His japanese are not good, but I was just deeply impressed with what he wanted to say.

If there's something in one's heart, language barrier doesn't have to be brought up...

please be lenient with our language mistakes and let us know them secretly...

It was so hot and sticky that I got an electric fan ready and got the breeze from it.

I heard the temperature 31... and it made me feel hotter and hotter.

But Unsui never do turn on the air-conditioner... it's better to use SENSE though...

A hot summer day...
